KwickScreen, Young Entrepreneur of the Year and winner of UK James Dyson Award
RCA graduate and founder of KwickScreen, Michael Korn, was named Young Entrepreneur of the Year by Shell LiveWIRE awards, beating seven other finalists to claim the £10,000 prize. He was also awarded the prestigious UK James Dyson Award by the James Dyson Foundation and runner up in the international leg of this design and innovation competition which operates in 18 countries.
KwickScreen joined the RCA incubator in January 2011. It is a retractable hospital partition that reduces infection, preserves patient dignity and allows healthcare professionals to make the best use of available space; giving maximum privacy and protection to patients.
The product has been sold into more than 30 NHS trusts and is being exported to Europe and the Middle East.
