Organised by InnovationRCA
This show explored the future of solar cell technology and was based on collaboration between the Department of Design Products at the RCA and three other design schools - the California College of the Arts (CCA), the School of Art and Design Lausanne (ECAL) and the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Création Industrielle in Paris (ENSCI).
The Sunny Memories exhibition featured the results of an international design workshop, which involved more than 80 students working under the guidance of leading designers. It arrived in London at the RCA following shows in Lausanne and Paris.

The CLOSEUP show presented ten years of European design projects by the Helen Hamlyn Research Associates at the RCA (1999-2009). Curated by the Helen Hamlyn Centre, it was supported by the European Commission Representation in the UK to mark the European Year of Creativity and Innovation 2009.
Additional sponsors were the Embassies of Denmark, Sweden and the Netherlands, Polish Cultural Institute, Finnish Institute, Italian Cultural Institute, and Austrian Cultural Forum.
Exhibits explored inclusive design, workplace design and design for patient safety. The exhibition included the latest Research Associate projects as well as taking a look at the influence of the programme - which matches new College design graduates with external partners - over the past decade.

This one-day innovation fair for early-stage technologies was a collaboration between InnovationRCA, Unwired Events and Inflate, the inflatable structures company founded in 1995 by RCA design graduate Nick Crosbie.
Visitors encountered inventors and designers face-to-face in a series of luminous inflatable pods, in order to stimulate dialogue and investment around ideas at an early stage in their development.
Innovations by RCA students and alumni were presented, including new Selected Works, alongside fresh ideas from the corporate labs. There was also contributions from innovators working in the Design London Incubator, a joint initiative with Imperial College London funded by NESTA.
Exploring Innovation is sponsored by Bene, who furnished the pods with modern furniture pieces.
