SoundCurtain on iphone with headphones

Future Acoustic launch
Royal College of Art spinout company FutureAcoustic has successfully launched two mobile applications of its a3 sound technology on the Apple iTunes platform.

SoundCurtain allows you to 'transform your sound environment in the office, at home or on the go'. Whisper is 'music that listens'.

This major breakthrough comes at a time when Future Acoustic is attracting growing interest among key players in the electronics, music and mobile industries for its novel approach to controlling ambient noise in the environment - the a3 technology listens to any sound and, through a patented algorithm, it produces a new, more soothing sound in real time.

The innovation was first invented ten years ago by Andreas Raptopoulos as a final-year RCA design engineering student. Raptopoulos founded FutureAcoustic in 2006 with former Arthur Andersen deputy chairman Don Hanson and InnovationRCA.
