New Selected Works 2009
New student innovations from the Royal College of Art have been chosen for commercial development this summer by InnovationRCA's Selected Works Panel.
The Panel, the College's very own Dragon's Den comprising experts in business, design, manufacturing and intellectual property, reviewed 45 diverse applications from across the College.
One of the Selected Works is an innovative method for producing beautiful hats that can be stored and shipped flat and assembled easily prior to wear, developed by RCA Fashion student Zara Gorman.
The second chosen Work is a project by Emil Rosen of RCA Design Products, which reduces the packaging associated with shipping and storing light bulbs.
The College supports selected designers in protecting, developing and commercialising their innovations.
