Margaret Durkan
Communication Manager

Margaret Durkan is Communication Manager of InnovationRCA and the Helen Hamlyn Centre.

She ran a studio pottery for many years - designing, producing and selling tableware to the UK, Europe and America - before studying Furniture and Product Design at Kingston University.

On graduation she worked for the Design Council and an architecture and interior design consultancy before joining the Royal College of Art in 1997. During this period she completed an MA in Design Studies at Central St Martins.

Margaret began her carreer at the Royal College of Art as the DesignAge Administrator and progressed to her current role as Communication Manager. In this role she has a broad range of responsibilities including designing and producing publications, managing exhibitions and both the InnovationRCA and Helen Hamlyn Centre websites.
