What is RapidformRCA?

It is the digital manufacturing and rapid prototyping centre at the Royal College of Art. Established in partnership with the London Development Agency, RapidformRCA services the design needs of small to medium-sized enterprises within the Greater London area as well as the RCA design community.

Employing, amongst other technologies, three key rapid prototyping technologies, RapidformRCA is able to offer a fast, cost-effective service to its customers.

What is the rapid prototyping process?

It forms three-dimensional plastic or metal models and components from CAD-generated 3D solid or surface data. The designed object emerges as a solid, three-dimensional part without the need for tooling.

Detail quality is exceptional for product development, presentations, trade shows and preliminary market analysis.
